What are Happijac Tiedowns?

as taken from happijac.com

HappiJac’s design combines frame strength and sound engineering principles to create an I-beam truss structure that makes your camper an integral part of the truck, providing unsurpassed strength and security. Its Direct-to-Frame™ mount is strong and easy to use. Written by Hitchweb Team Wednesday, May 13, 2015

How is the length on a hitch adapter measured?

The hitch adapters can be measured in two different ways:

1) From pin hole to pin hole
2) From the receive tube to the very back of the adapter

Here is an example of how the REESE 2" TO 1-1/4" RECEIVER ADAPTER is measured

1997 Dodge Ram 1500 SB Roll Pan Bumper Trailer Hitch

Written by Hitchweb Team Thursday, May 7, 2015

Do you have a trailer hitch for a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 Short Box With Factory Roll Pan Bumper?

There are two trailer hitch options available for this vehicle:

1)  SurePull Class 3 Roll Pan Hitch #30524.
Unfortunately this trailer hitch is out of production, but might still be available at some distributors. We no longer carry this item.
The installation instructions for this trailer hitch is below:

http://www.hitch-net.com/images/12/docs/sp30524.pdf

2) Some of these pickup trucks were built with OEM fascia similar to the aftermarket roll pans. Draw-Tite made a hitch for those vehicles, however it is best to submit a picture to their tech department to confirm. This trailer hitch has also been discontinued, but may be available at some distributors. We no longer carry this item.
The installation instructions for this trailer hitch is below:

Trailer Hitch For 2009 Ford F150 Super Cab with Factory Hitch

Written by Hitchweb Team Thursday, April 30, 2015

Is there a Trailer Hitch Available for the 2009 Ford F150 Super Cab with the Factory Hitch?

Unfortunately there is no standard class 1-5 aftermarket trailer hitch available for the 2009 Ford F150 Super Cab with the OEM Hitch. This is because you cannot remove the factory receiver since it is attached to the bumper. To remove it would mean removing the entire bumper. Vehicle's with a factory receiver should not be removed as they are meant for bumper pulls.

There is however a Torklift SuperHitch available for this vehicle IF the Factory Hitch is rated for 10,500 lbs. This hitch is heavy duty and includes two 2" x 2" receivers.  Click on the image for more information on this trailer hitch:

Pulling The Emergency Pin On Trailer Brakes

Written by Hitchweb Team Wednesday, April 29, 2015

What should I do If the emergency pin on the trailer brakes is pulled out when not attached to the vehicle. There was no electrical hook up at the time. Is everything the same when I push the large plastic pin back into the little box it came out of?

You can plug it right back in, this will not hurt the trailer. The only reason to replace it is if the pin is or became damaged.
