Good Hitch, good delay and good vid?o for my v?hicule Subaru Forester! But on the other hand, I had to watch a video elsewhere for the electric son, since the video concerned the outback which is different from the forester for the location of the connector.

The hitch and associated wiring that I ordered arrived in less than 2 full days. GREAT. The hitch installation went much as was explained in the installation instructions, but you DEFINITELY need two people, and an extra high lifting jack to lift the hitch and hold it in position while you connect the nuts to the bolts.(and you must feed the fish wires attached to the bolts through the bolt holes in the hitch before the hitch is jacked up tight to the Subaru frame) I also cut two holes in the heat shield for the installation bolts as I thought it important to have the shield in place rather than discard it. HOWEVER - the wiring was another matter. Maybe because my 2016 Subaru Forester was the TOURING model the wiring was nowhere near where the instructions indicated. After removing the parts indicated in the instructions, i had to remove the plastic panel in front of the rear bumper then remove screws holding msc. attachments which held the REAR of the plastic panel above the wheel on the rear driver's side. (you only need to pull back the REAR of that panel) , the wiring connecter was found behind the middle rear of this panel, and secured with a couple wraps of thin blue tape around it. The trailer wiring connecter was then plugged into this connecter - it appeared that its only reason to be was to make it easy to hook up trailer wiring. Rather than drilling a hole in the body for the ground wire, I removed the 10 mm bolt holding the screw hold- down for the tie-down which was removed in order to access the wiring connecter. I then installed the ground wire on that 10 mm bolt and replaced it. I then replaced all the parts taken off previously. I suggest these alternate instructions if anyone is wiring up this model of Subaru. They would have saved me a lot of frustration.

I just bought my trailer hitch and wiring on Saturday on-line and the whole package arrived FEDEX by lunch time Tuesday, Man it was FAST!!! I opened the package and all the parts including instructions were all there, I will install the hitch into my 2015 Subaru Forester this weekend, with all the videos and instructions on how to do the frame and wiring it should be ok, the thing I found was that the price was the cheapest, with free shipping and great service I really recommend this.

Rectangle washer were too big for Forester entry hole. Had to make modifications to entry hole.
