The instructions were clear and straightforward. Took me 2h to install the hitch and it fit perfectly. Just be sure to carefully check ahead of time for all the tools you need as listed in the instructions, I was fortunate that my Dad had all of the tools so we were all set. Also if you're installing it on a chevy volt, just be extra careful when using prybars to pry off the bumper. You need to push down release tabs on the car frame to help release the bumper. We missed a couple and they snapped off, but in the end it was OK as there were about 5 tabs per side so the remaining tabs held the plastic bumper back in place.
